The first painting is called “Child Soldier in the Ivory Coast”.  I like this painting because it shows a boy wearing a military helmet.  It shows what these African kids are forced to do and what they a put through in their life.

          The next piece of art is a half elephant half human looking sculpture carrying a pot on top of it.  When I see this, it reminds me of how women carry around good and items like that on their heads.  Just like how elephants in some places are you for labor also.

          The next one is a wooden sculpture looks like a tiki guy.  I chose this because it just looks cool to me.  It looks like the stomach is a coconut.

 

 

Picasso Inspired by African Art
